dimensional drumming

in october and november of 2002 the full length recording of dimensional drums will be made

the ensemble consists of the 3 drum family of afro-cuban hand drums, quinto, conga and tumba, plus a variety of side percussion, which will be conceptually explored in a freetime universe mapping out cosmic architectures a la milford graves

this will be a fascinating recording, as we finish mixing and come into production the details will be released, hold on to your ears!

panoramas nyc symphonic

13 minute symphony under contract for performance & recording with the royal liverpool philharmonic orchestra conducted by gerard schwartz, recording & cd production being managed by master musicians collective (mmc)

project: semi staged dramatic oratorio based on a medieval german housebook - some setting ideas exist, & brainstorming / collaboration needs to begin! manuscript is unusual in subject matter & lends itself to social commentary on universal themes dealing with . . . ???

immersed myself in phill niblock's audio envriron at the brooklyn anchorage (thomas buckner & guitar army droned in!)

hand drummed the night away on top of griffin & oliver's brooklyn loft building w/ walsh et al, griffin & oliver et al fire stick dancing: audio disappeared into the continent somewhere!

went to the all steve reich concert at cooper union's great hall

attended javasig meeting on computer music technology, hosted at sun microsystems and presented by phil burk and nick didkovsky, jsyn and jmsl were demonstarted and discussed - great work guys!

met with composer, cri board member, & rca veteran blaire weille - we discussed the new music scene, composer's issues, music business models & napster, & my work
